  • By Default, SQL Server listens on port 1433. You can change TCP/IP by applying simple steps mentioned below.
  • Open SQL Server Configuration Manager.
  • Expand SQL Server Network Configuration
  • Click on Protocols for MSSQLSERVER (<instance name>)
  • Right click on TCP IP Protocol and select Properties

  • Click on IP Addresses tag and change TCP Port for IP listening.

  • Restart your SQL Server (<instance name>)
